Join the Pennsylvania Center for Women in Politics for the first ever Women's Equality Day Fair from 5-8pm at the heart of Chatham University's Shadyside Campus.

Women's Equality Day, commemorating the signing of the 19th amendment on August 26th, celebrates the equal rights of women and the dedication of activists who helped secure those rights. Chatham University is a historically women’s college with a mission of promoting women’s leadership and gender equity. By inviting women-owned businesses to campus, we hope to highlight your hard work and leadership while inviting students to support local businesses in honor of the day. To support the growth of women owned businesses, this event is completely free to vendors!

With the enticing late summer weather, we anticipate a student attendance of about 300-400, not accounting for students who pass through the area on their way to classes, the dining hall, dormitories, and the library. Additionally, this event will be advertised to the surrounding community and public. Chatham University is perfectly placed between Shadyside and Squirrel Hill with Oakland just around the corner, free parking on campus, and three distinct university entrances, which makes this event easily accessible to other college students and neighborhood members. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your market within the community and to students from around the country.

Tables and chairs will be provided by the Chatham University Facilities Department. We hope you will take this opportunity to celebrate Women's Equality Day with us!
