+ PULSE 21+ Workshop Series: Shrinky Dinks
June 30th from 6-9pm

Do you remember Shrinky Dinks? In this two hour session, participants will be reunited with the shrinky dinks of their childhood (or introduced to them if you're totally new to shrink plastic) and will be shown the process of making designs and turning them into jewelry, magnets, pins, and more, as well as tips for making them look better than what we all made as kids. If time allows, we may also explore painting wooden jewelry using washi tape to block off areas of the wood.

About the Guest Maker:

Trisha Powell is an ESL teacher and immigrant and refugee inclusion advocate who loves to make jewelry and all sorts of crafts on the side! She has an Etsy shop called Lines and Shapes Jewelry Shop where she sells her jewelry made out of shrink plastic. She also sells at local craft markets and enjoys doing jewelry workshops with both kids and adults. She finds drawing jewelry to be a unique, satisfying, and even therapeutic activity, kind of like doing adult coloring books, but then you get to wear what you colored!

The 21+ Workshop Series is sponsored by PULSE Pittsburgh.

We meet every month on a Saturday from 7-9pm. All materials are provided. You do not need prior experience to participate. The goal of this workshop series is to open the making process to people who want to learn a new skill in a community setting. Our goal is to engage as a community to learn, support, and connect with other creatives. Workshop Series reaches out to the community to bring creatives together who may not have access to these materials, space, community, and time.

We encourage participants to bring their own snacks and drinks.

All participants must register for this workshop via Eventbrite.

+ Art in the Streets Artist Market and Sidewalk Sale:

We are looking for vendors to share their wares at the Art in the Streets Wine and Art Crawl as well as an Artist Market down the middle of main street Bellevue for the Art in the Streets sidewalk sale! Both events are rain or shine!

Wine Crawl is July 20, 2018 from 6-9P with set up at 4:30 and tear down at 9pm. There will be 18 vendor spots available nd they will be located inside The Center. $15 per vendor/artist.

Art in the Streets Artist Market and Sidewalk Sale is on Saturday, July 21st and will have 20-30 10' x 10' spots. It will be $30/space. Set-up is 9:30am and tear down is 4pm.

Both of these will be juried meaning pictures need to be sent so that we do not have too many of any one type of craft or art.
If interested, email Kim Uccellini at uccellinika@gmail.com and an application will be sent along with more details!

Deadline for application is July 15th.
