up and a Way Designs

Jackie Way of up and a WAY designs joins us on Saturday, November 11th for the 16th annual I Made It! for the Holidays happening at The Block Northway from 10 am - 5 pm.

Tell us a little bit about your shop:

'up and a WAY designs' refashions used, authentic coffee bean sacks from various countries around the world and turns them into unique burlap baskets, wine totes, tote bags, and home decor.  Because the coffee sacks are upcycled and the linings and accent fabrics are often repurposed remnants, everything that is designed and sewn is a one of a kind, sustainable original.

What are you most excited to bring to the market for shoppers:

I'm most excited to bring original and sustainable gifts such as baskets, wine totes and tote bags to the market

What’s new in your shop:

I have lots of new prints on my tote bags and baskets

How long have they been participating in IMI:

6 years

What’s your favorite part of participating in IMI:

I love that an IMI event is so much more than just a show. It's a day to spend doing what I love alongside all my artisan friends. IMI is not 100+ artists in competition with each other, but an artisan family where each and every member supports and encourages each other.

(THANKS JACKIE! - IMI)
