Nadia Jackson Opens Up About New Small Business: Nalonkuru!

Written by: Jordan Dentino

Nadia Jackson is relatively new to the art scene. After only two years, the Nalonkuru online shop is quickly gaining traction and Nadia is ready to partake in this Saturday’s I Made It! Market.

Currently, Nalonkuru operates out of Pittsburgh, PA and does not have a physical storefront - as Nadia prefers to operate solely online. Though, she does utilize a small studio space where she goes to stir up some creativity! So, the I Made It! Market will be an exciting experience for her to show off her art to the world and sell her products in person.

As a participating artist of the I Made It! Market, Nadia says she “hopes to gain new followers, make new friends, and just have a great time!”

Nalonkuru is a small online shop that sells various Japanese-inspired art such as stickers, tote bags, vinyl prints, and most interestingly - personalized portraits! Nadia custom makes a large variety of different prints in her very own art style. From pet portraits, to couples photos, to personalized scenic landscapes - the possibilities of Nalonkuru are endless! Nadia, however, would like to shine a spotlight on her bags and pouches, both of which feature artwork that she designed herself. Though all of her artwork is well-loved by her customers, and has even gained local recognition from the Latrobe Art Center, she states that these creative and unique bags remain her most popular product!

Nadia is working on some new products after a short period of self-proclaimed writer's block, and has recently been drawing her inspiration from musical artist “Yabujin”. If you want to see what Nadia has been working on, head down to the I Made It! Market on December 17th and check out Nalonkuru.
